||Mary and I were treated to the kindness of Manfred and his staff. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The food was good. The staff was ready to respond to our every need.
We both would hearily recommend the "Atahualpa Hotel" to anyone visiting Cusco.
Thank you very much.

||I am delighted to comment on La Posada de Atahualpa after my recent stay there. In short, it is one of the nicest hotels I have encountered in considerable travel around the world in the last 40 years. It is not a sophisticated Hilton; rather, it is a small, friendly, comfortable hotel. The wood-burning fireplace in the lobby is representative. I would also add that the owner and his wife [Mane and Betty] and the entire staff are unquestionably the most courteous and helpful people I have found anywhere.
||We spent 5 days at La Posada de Atahualpa 1-7 May. The hotel is comfortable with good firm beds and lots of hot water (solar powered). We drank scotch in the bar at night (generous drinks) and sat with coffee by the fireplace in the morning. Mane and Betty were perfect hosts. Breakfasts were hearty with fresh bread and eggs, coffee and fresh fruit.
We went to Machu Picchu for 2 days and that is a trip NOT to be missed. I plan to return to Cusco with my wife and we will stay at the Atahualpa again. Get a second story room with a view of the neighborhood.
||My wife and me spent a beautiful 5 days holidays in Cuzco care of Posada Atahualpa. Manfred, the owner, has been very friendly and the receptionists (special mention to the nice guy Lucio) too.
The hotel is 3 minutes taxi far from the center, but you won't find any problem because there are plenty of really cheap (half euro) taxis in everywhere.
The rooms are really confortable and spacious. Without any doubts, the best of our journey in Perù. Last but not least, the price is really convenient (+- 32 euros breakfast included).
Don't forget to meet Josephine, the beautiful owner 3 years old daughter!

|La POSADA de ATAHUALPA (ATAHUALPA'S INN) is located at a walking distance from downtown Cusco, i.e. in a quiet place with pure air out of the traffic noise and air pollution. All is new and/or restaured. We really feel to live in a typical Cuscoan comfortable house.Bed rooms are distributed on several stories around two main patios coverd by glass roofs. This produces "Puits de Lumière", light wells, which illuminate all the interior of the house during day time but without overdosis of light.
The bedrooms are very comfortable and cosy. The visitor can benefit either from intimity or from social life inside the Posada. Both patios with a salon and a inner garden are very pleasant to relax in. The personel is entirely dedicated to his task of making the visitors' stay very agreeable. I strongly recommend to accomodate at "Posada de Atahualpa" either for turism or for seminars (< 20 persons) since, in addition, the hotel has a comfortable meeting room.
I wish to the owners and to the personel a full deserved success.

||I've spent five days at the recently opened Posada de Atahualpa hotel in Cusco. I was coming from a very good hotel in Lima and I found la Posada far better than my previous one! I got impressed by the excellent spacious rooms avalable, with a nice desk to read or work, and a neat bathroom. The hotel lobby-hall is extremely pleasant, with cozy tables to meet your friends or just other guests around a cup of coca mate.
The small restaurant had excellent service and good meals at a reasonable price. Its location is not at the city center, but 5 min by any of the abundant taxi cabs; however, is located in a more quiet area than the efervescent Plaza de Armas and conveniently separated from the airport, but very easily accesible to it.
Last, but not least, I should mention its professional service. Pleasing the guest is number one priority of La Posada staff. Definitely, I'll come back to la Posada in my next visit to Cusco and I reccommend it to everyone that is looking for the best quality-to-price ratio in Cusco.
||If you are looking for friendly and helpful people who happen to run a really nice place, at a really nice price and who, besides spanish, speak at least english and german, you should not miss this place. It is a small hotel that feels like home, in the best sense of the feeling, and you may even use it to organize an international conference ( as the group I integrated just did), since the facilities are just right for a group of about 20 people.
||We enjoyed a great time in Cusco at this hotel, where we could combine a very pleasant stay in a very familiar atmosphere with adequate facilities to organize a top level international meeting. I have been in many hotels around the world but really very few has achieved this very difficult balance. My sincere congratulations to the Horn family. Julian Blanco, Spain.
||The Ponce family decided to spend the end-of-year holidays in Cusco. We learned of the new "La Posada de Atahualpa" through some faculty at the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Lima. So, a few days after Christmas, eight of us descended into Cusco and were cordially received at the airport by Mr. & Mrs. Manfred Horn Jr, who took us to their hotel. We spent a delightful week there, enjoying the international ambient in the midst of the ancient city of Cusco. The hotel is brand-new, beautifully designed, confortably furnished, and provides an atmosphere full of intimacy and privacy. The short distance from downtown keeps you away from the noise and hastle while at the same time within easy reach of all attractions. I am a native from Cusco, and live in the US for more than 30 years. I am happy to have stayed at the Posada de Atahualpa. It is not a big hotel, so the attention is more personal. It should be specially attractive for highly educated, cultured clientelles.
